South Carolina Politicians Pushing Gambling To Help Out Budget
The United States of America is quickly becoming the gambling capital of the world. The intent is not to end up the biggest area of gambling, but the economy is pushing usually conservative states to move in the gambling direction.
South Carolina could become the latest in the growing list of states that is looking to gambling to solve their economic problems. High ranking politicians in the state are now claiming the legalized gambling is needed to help the state budget.
Video Gambling machines are the apparent target of Senator Robert Ford. He says that not only can the video gambling help, but other forms could also give assistance to a budget that is severely lacking funds.
"South Carolina needs to follow other states that have seen their revenue dollars from gambling help aid the budget. It is a necessary tool in these tough times and every state should look into legalizing gambling to take some pressure of the residents of their state," said Harvey Weinberger, a resident of South Carolina.
In the recent election, several states expanded their gambling laws. Missouri lifted their betting limits at their casinos, and Colorado also expanded their gambling options. it is a move that more and more states are using to create revenue.
