Timeshares Thriving At Gambling Destinations With Perks Down
It used to be that if a family wanted to go to Las Vegas on vacation, they could usually do so relatively cheap. They would get their rooms comped by the Las Vegas casino of their choice, and their food would sometimes be included in that package.
That was the old Las Vegas. The new one is filled with casinos that are getting stricter on their comp policies, and that is not good news for vacationers who are tight on cash in these tough economic times.
There is a group, however, that is thriving thanks to the Las Vegas casino cutbacks. That group is the timeshares that exchange a free room for up to a week for the chance to show off their property.
Vacationers have been increasingly moving towards this option. They have to sit through a ninety minute presentation which usually lasts for two to three hours. Salesman spend that time trying to convince these people that it would be wise to buy an apartment at the property.
The jobs of these salesmen are extremely difficult in today's economy. They know people do not have the money to buy and are only at the presentation because of the free rooms. They must still press on, however, and try to sell these people property.
Timeshares are not the greatest option, but at a time when Las Vegas casinos have gotten stingy with their comps and the economy is down, at least there are options for a vacation.
