Trump Reports Loss With Casino Market Crashing

Trump Entertainment has joined the growing list of casino operators that are seeing profits dwindle. the company has shown a loss for the first quarter.

Casino operators in the United States are one by one reporting losses for the first quarter of this year. While some companies have not used the economy as the sole reason, but Trump cited the economy as a reason for their loss.

Ameristar also reported a loss for the first quarter. The economy has slowed to a point that casinos, which once were immune to problems with the economy, are now being affected.

It used to be that Las Vegas casinos had no problem dealing with a slow economy. People still went on vacations and liked to gamble, and Vegas was one of the only places people could go for both.

With casino laws being changed around the country almost daily, more casinos have begun sprouting up. That has made it difficult for Las Vegas casinos to keep their long time stranglehold on the industry.

In the past few weeks, Boyd Gaming Corp., Las Vegas Sands Corp., and Wynn Resorts Ltd., have all posted revenue results that were far below expectations.
