Up, Up, And Away, Florida And Texas Lotteries Both Keep Rising
There is starting to be something to talk about in both Florida and Texas. Both states have major lottery jackpots that have risen to be the top two for any individual states in the nation.
Florida went into Saturday nights drawing with the highest jackpot for their Florida Lotto game. Texas went into their Lotto Texas drawing with the second highest jackpot.
On Sunday morning, people in both states awoke to the fact that neither of the main grand prizes had been hit. The Florida jackpot will now grow to an estimated $30 million for their next draw on Wednesday evening.
In Texas, residents had a similar fate. They now have a grand prize for their next drawing of $25 million. They are the only two individual state lotteries that are above $11 million at the current time.
While the individual state lotteries grew over the weekend, so did the multi-state lotteries. The Mega Millions lottery jackpot was not hit on Friday night and now has grown to $56 million. The Powerball lottery also had no winners, capping a long weekend for lottery players around the country.
The next Powerball drawing will be on Wednesday and will be worth $25 million.
