Vision Airlines is making it easier for gamblers to travel from Florida to top gaming destinations around the US. The airline is expanding their offerings from Northwest Florida starting in March, and continuing the expansion throughout the year.

The carrier is based in Georgia, but is preparing to give travelers another option in the air. The new flights will run from Destin/Fort Walton Beach, to seventeen cities around the country, and will feature low fares.

The low fares will be welcomed by travelers who have seen the price in flying go up in recent months. With gas prices on the rise, it is likely that the flights will continue to rise through the summer. In addition to the higher fares, travelers are finding it more difficult to find a good deal.

Vision Airlines provides those deals. Their flights to such destinations as Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Columbia, South Carolina, will be $79 one way. An introductory special rate will be run at $49 one way to promote the new destinations.

Gamblers often travel from Florida to Louisiana, where the casino gambling industry is rebounding since Hurricane Katrina back in 2005. The Gulf Coast has always been one of the top gaming destinations in the US, and even with recent expansion throughout the country, Louisiana and Mississippi remain popular states when it comes to casino gambling.

Vision Airlines is offering the introductory rate for anyone who books their flight from January 18th-23rd. The flights will not start until March 25th for some of the destinations. April 1st will be the target date for several of the other new flights. The airline will be using Boeing 737's for transportation to the new markets.
