With Smoking Laws Tightening, Bingo Gambling Halls Not Surviving
Bingo halls and smoking go hand in hand. It seems as though the two were created to support each other. While this is an exaggeration, bingo halls are finding it hard to stay open amidst new smoking laws.
The grip on smoking laws has been tightened in many states over the past few years. No longer can people just light up wherever they feel it necessary.
The laws in most states are headed towards no smoking inside of public establishments. If not in place already, the laws are spreading around the country.
This has made a major impact on the bingo halls that were once so popular. these gambling rooms used to be a place to get away, have some fun, and smoke some cigarettes. That is not the case anymore.
Casino gambling is becoming more prevalent in states around the country. Smoking laws have gotten stricter. Combined, the two forces have almost made bingo hall extinct.
The bad part for bingo lovers, is that not much, if anything, can be done to change the landscape. Casino gambling is being legalized almost monthly in different counties in the U.S.. Smoking laws are being drafted daily.
The result is an industry that was once the new fad, has slipped almost into oblivion. The bingo halls that do still exist, will most likely not be able to stay profitable, which will lead to their extinction.
