Woman Wins $8.9 Million Jackpot On Slot Machine in Casino
Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. For poker players, most feel they can win money with their skills. For slots players, though, the majority of their wins are just pure luck.
Anna Falco must have had luck on her side over the weekend. The fifty thee year old Woodbridge woman had been playing on a slot machine named Megabucks on Saturday. The game lived up to its name.
Falco was playing for $3 a spin when the lights and bells went off on the machine. The jackpot of $8.9 million was hit. It became the biggest payout by a Canadian casino. Although it was luck, Falco was a regular at the casino.
"She knew right away she had won. The machine has a big electronic sign above it showing the total and it's continuously going up and up and up," said publicist Jenna Hunter.
Up until the point when she won the jackpot, it had not been a lucky day for Falco. She was down $200 before she won. Being a regular, there is no telling how much money she could have spent gambling at the Casino Rama.
One thing is certain, she did not lose $8 million, which makes her a winner no matter how much money she plans to gamble in the future. When the bells went off, people in the casino quickly gathered to join in the rejoicing. Falco was given a check for $8,920,622.89.
