Wynn Pays Tribute To Blue Eyes With New Casino Restaurant
Steve Wynn is moving along with his business while the rest of the casino industry just tries to survive. With many casino companies cutting back their projects, Wynn Resorts is moving forward on opening new casinos.
His latest venture will open today in
Las Vegas. Encore cost the company $2.3 billion to build, but unlike others who have stopped projects, Wynn completed theirs and is ready to show it off to the public.
Inside of the Encore their is a restaurant that signifies how close Wynn was with the legendary Frank Sinatra. An Italian restaurant bearing Sinatra's name, and memorabilia will be one of the main draws of the new Encore.
The Sinatra themed restaurant is one in which his family has been approached about before, but they never felt the person was sincere who was doing the asking. With Wynn, things were different. "He (Wynn) loves him (Sinatra). He was his friend, and he loves and protects us," said Sinatra's daughter, Tina.
Wynn and Sinatra spent many a nights together back when Sinatra was headlining at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. The two developed a friendship that lasted throughout the years. Wynn was at the funeral of Sinatra back in 1998.
For Wynn, the opportunity to honor his friend was one that he could not pass up. The restaurant is located near the high-limits table and will cater to the
casinos
VIP's and regular players alike, much like Sinatra did himself.
