Indiana: Orange County Casino Fight Involves Two Companies
The 2 companies that joined forces to run an Indiana casino are in a legal fight, but the state's top casino gambling regulator says the law suit filed by Cook Group earlier this month against Lauth Property Group shouldn't affect the casino's scheduled opening in November.
An Orange County Circuit Court judge sealed all court records regarding the case, so details about the lawsuit are not available to the public. Indiana Gaming Commission executive director Ernest Yelton said the lawsuit shouldn't hamper the schedule of the $300 million project. The project includes construction of an 80,000-square-foot casino and renovation of the French Lick Springs Resort.
