Casino Gambling in Wisconsin Up To State Supreme Court

Voted Top Online Casino Several Years in a Row!

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has a dozen cases to settle before its current term ends including one that could stamp-out much of the state's casino gambling. Kenosha's Dairyland dog track has had a lawsuit pending for five years to close the state's 28 casinos and slot-parlors.

That's because they've gone way beyond the gaming restrictions voters approved in a constitutional amendment 13 years ago. However, not even Dairyland expects the court to shut everything down when a decision is made in the coming weeks. Vice president Roy Berger says his dream scenario is to put the landscape back to 1998, when craps and roulette were illegal, and Milwaukee's Potawatomi Casino only had a few dozen slot machines. Berger's dream would then be to have voters change the constitution so places like his could start its own gaming house to compete with the Indians and make tavern gambling legal, by law.
