Gambling At Myrtle Beach Mall Ends In Four Arrests

USA Players Accepted at Rome Casino!

Illegal gambling can occur in many different ways. Most gambling raids in the US these days are taking place in bars and convenience stores, or in store fronts. The latest raid, however, happened at a South Carolina mall.

The Coastal Grand mall is the location that police were called to on Friday afternoon. A shell game was being played in the mall arcade, but by the time the police arrived, the game was already broken up.

Steve Gray and Mark Monroe were identified as the people that were running the game. There also was a third person who was accused of running the operation. Gray and Monroe were both arrested, along with Tarvis Devon Jackson and Corlette Junious, who were playing the game.

Jackson and Junious became furious over their loss of money in the game, according to a Myrtle beach police report. Gray claims that Jackson and Junious were upset over losing money, and Monroe claimed that they did not collect the money for the losses, another man did.

This is not the typical gambling raid that has been taking place. Bars have been the main target of authorities. Video gambling machines have become popular in these bars, but in some states it is illegal for the bar owners to pay out winnings.

The shell game that was being played involves a black playing board, bottle caps, and playing cards. All four of the people arrested were charged with gambling.
