Las Vegas Casino Finally Paid By Charles Barkley
Charles Barkley has never been shy about his gambling problem. Barkley has admitted to losing over ten million dollars gambling, and has made various statements regarding gambling.
Last week, reports surfaced of Barkley owing the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas $400,000. He reportedly was gambling at the casino and was given markers to keep playing that equalled the $400,000.
The casino threatened to take legal action against Barkley if they did not receive their money. Barkley, in turn, was outraged that the casino did not just contact him for the money.
The battle over the money came to an end this week when the casino finally confirmed that Barkley had paid the money that he owed. The only thing left for him to pay was a $40,000 processing fee for the district attorney.
Barkley said he planned to pay the remaining money. "True to my word, I sent a $400,000 cashier's check overnight to Wynn Las Vegas, which they confirmed they received. I was unaware of the additional ten percent processing fee from the district attorney's office and will make restitution on that immediately," said Barkley.
Barkley is currently an analyst on TNT for the NBA. He enjoyed a lengthy career and has made a name for himself by being an outspoken analyst.
