Voted Top Online Casino Several Years in a Row!

The Louisiana Governor's office announced the resignation of key member Warren Eldridge Brown from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. The board oversees casino gambling activities in the state of Louisiana.

State law prohibits most members of the gambling board from engaging "in any other form of public employment."

Therefore, Brown, could not serve on the board and keep his day job as chief investigator for the Ouachita Parish District Attorney's Office in Monroe, Louisiana.

Brown said he was unaware of the restrictions on working for the public sector when filling out his application to become a member of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.

Leonard Kleinpeter, who oversees boards and commissions for Gov. Kathleen Blanco, said he is responsible for not noticing that the Brown is ineligible.

According to the report, the governor is responsible for appointing 9 of the casino gambling board's members. The appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
