Ontario Family Lucky In The Lottery Prompts Investigation
Corrie Jackson claims to be just another store owner who sells lottery tickets in Ontario. She finds nothing weird in the fact that she and her family have cashed in over $1.2 million in winning tickets.
The Lottery and Gaming Commission in Ontario did not have a similar feeling. They felt maybe something shady was going on and they asked the Ontario Provincial Police to look in to the matter.
They did look into the matter and what they found was that the Jackson family was just an extremely lucky family. There was no evidence found of any wrongdoing by Jackson or any member of her family.
Jackson was asked about the winning lottery tickets. "Just lucky, I guess. I wasn't a real big gambler. But we just got lucky and Barry, he loved to gamble. And the lottery machines were handy so it was easy to buy a ticket whenever you wanted to," she said.
Her late husband Barry and her sons Trevor and Rob were continually cashing in winning tickets according to the Lottery and Gaming Corp. In the span of 1995 to 2004, the family totaled 167 wins from the lottery.
There was a time back in April that Jackson actually won on eight tickets in a Pick Three draw. She claims that she was not the gambler, that her husband would buy the tickets and then she would be the one to cash them in.
