Tribal Casino in Rhode Island Needs Voters Approval

Voted Top Online Casino Several Years in a Row!

If Rhode Island voters approve a state constitutional amendment for a West Warwick casino gambling site this November, Narragansett Chief Sachem Matthew Thomas said Thursday, "benefits we have only dreamed of will flow to the indian tribe casinos and tribal members.

"The estimated twenty million to twenty-five million the Narragansetts expect to receive yearly from casino gambling revenues, he said, will help poverty, improve health care, bring better jobs, improve education, and build affordable housing for tribe members. The tribe will get a share of all of the profits of the casino project, from entertainment and restaurant income as well as casino gambling revenue, Thomas told The Times the additional money "will make things a lot better and will let us explore other forms of economic development.

"At a press conference Thursday morning, with indian tribe elders and council members arrayed around him in front of the tribe's health center, which they are hoping to replace with a new facility because it no longer suits their needs, Thomas said the Narragansetts have watched for 10 years while other tribes have raked in casino riches.
