American Idol Gambling Less Than One Week Away

With the expansion of online gambling, wagers can come in many different forms. One of the merging gambling options over the past few years has been on who will win the American idol competition for that particular season.

This year, American idol betting will begin after Thursday's elimination show. At that point, the top twelve contestants will have been chosen, and the competition will begin to get tense.

Last season, Kris Allen walked away as the American Idol. When the top twelve began during that season, Allen was a 60-1 long shot. By the time he reached the final three, his odds had dropped considerably, but it was too late for sports books that had given the high odds at the start.

This year, the competition appears to be wide open. Early judges favorites are Casey James, Michael Lynche, and Aaron Kelly. On the female side, Crystal Bowersox, Didi Benami, and Lacey Brown have caught the judges' eyes.

Many of the singers are youthful, as was the case in past years. Several of the contestants are under eighteen years-old. Others, however, already have families of their own. Children of the remaining contestants have been a big story line.

American Idol concludes their two part live singing events tonight, with the results show tomorrow. Two male and two female performers will be eliminated at that time, leaving the top twelve for sports books to place odds on.
