American Idol Preview: Gambling Could Be Hot And Heavy This Year
The road for American Idol is never ending. As soon as one season ends, they start traveling the US looking for contestants for the next season. For many fans, however, tonight will begin the true journey to the title.
The fun and games of the early auditions and Hollywood week are over and all that remains now is the thirteen finalist looking America in the eye and singing one on one. No more group performances, no more judge wild cards.
This year, there are many of the thirteen contestants who have a legitimate shot at winning. That is what is making this year harder on American Idol gamblers than any before. The early odds have two males as the favorites.
Adam Lambert, this year's resident rocker is the favorite at +200. He is followed closely by fan favorite Danny Gokey at +325. Two females take up the next two spots with Lil Rounds at +400 and Allison Iraheta at +750.
The middle of the pack is where most of the personality of this year's show comes in. Scott MacIntyre is +1000. Matt Giraud and Alexis Grace are both +1200, and at +1500 are Anoop Desai and Megan Corkrey.
For anyone looking to bet on the long shots, there are four to chose from. Jorge Nunez is +2500, Kris Allen and Jasmine Murray are +3000, and Michael Sarver is +5000.
The competition begins tonight at 8:00PM on FOX. The participants will be singing songs from Michael Jackson.
