American Idol Results: Those Gambling On Brooke White Lose Bets
American Idol can get real emotional when it gets this late in the game. The Idol finalists can afford to make no mistakes if they want to survive another week.
For Brooke White, a combination of below par performances over the past few weeks have cost her a shot at being the next American Idol. She was eliminated from the competition on Wednesday night.
White knew early in the results show that she was in trouble. Jason Castro and David Archuleta were sent to safety almost immediately. Not long after that, David Cook was saved.
That left two contestants who were no stranger to the bottom two, White and Syesha Mercado. Mercado has been holding on for her Idol life for what seems to be, the whole season.
In the end, Mercado was safe, and White was eliminated. Her emotional roller coast took another turn as she sang for the last time on the Idol stage as a competitor. She left to the song, I Am, I Said, by this week's mentor, Neil Diamond.
Next week the show will continue with only four left wondering if they will be the next American Idol.
