American Idol Wagering Odds Shuffle After Lennon, McCartney Songs
American Idol has had many celebrity singers play on their stage. Contestants have sang songs from all different genre's, but last week, the show shined when contestants sang songs from John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
One by one, they paraded up onto the stage and put their own versions of classic songs on display. In the end, the contest grew tighter.
Front runner David Archuleta stumbled, and several contestants shined, making sports books shuffle their odds heading into this week.
Archuleta is still the favorite to win the competition, but his odds have come back to Earth. He is now a 5-4 favorite. That is down from the 2-3 odds from last week.
Brooke White did a stunning rendition of "Let It Be", and has now jumped up to be the second choice at 4-1. David Cook also wowed the audience with his "Eleanor Rigby" choice. He has moved up to the third pick at 9-2.
Syesha Mercado and Michael Johns both were downgraded from favorites to the lower end of the choices. Mercado is now 30-1, and Johns, 16-1.
Chikezie Eze led the night off last week and had a superior performance, but it did not help him with the odds makers. They still have him as the second to last choice at 50-1.
The live shows continue on Tuesday night, once again with songs from Lennon and McCartney.
