It is getting closer to the time when all countries around the world will be liberalized when it comes to their online gambling laws. Argentina appears to the the next country that will legalize Internet gambling, most likely in the next couple of months.

The country has just gained the rights to broadcast soccer matches, and there is a prevailing thought that the Internet gambling will finance that operation. The government has not confirmed soccer to be the reason that they are seeking to legalize online gambling.

While they have not given specific reasons, they have several motivating factors. The most obvious of all the factors is that Internet gambling would bring millions of dollars in revenue to Argentina. That is why lawmakers are working hard to complete the process.

"We're working so that this will be4come law within two or three months," said Presidential Cabinet Chief Anibal Fernandez. That seems to be a highly optimistic timeframe from Fernandez, who recognizes that the process of changing the laws could take a much longer time.

Argentina would be following in the footsteps of many other countries who have recently changed their online gambling laws. One country, however, that has not legalized Internet gambling is the US.

Online gaming companies have been waiting for years for the US to regulate Internet gambling. The4 US is the biggest market in the world for the industry, even though the current laws make online gambling payment processing illegal in the country.
