Biden Lobbying For Internet Gambling Could Swing Election For Obama
Joe Biden is currently too busy to worry about any specific issues. His focus these days is on traveling around the country to try and convince voters that Barack Obama should be the next president.
There is an issue, however, that may be able to swing the upcoming presidential election. Internet gambling is a hot topic in the United States, and with the help of his son, Hunter, Biden should be able to pick up key votes from people in favor of regulating the industry.
Hunter Biden and his firm, Oldaker, Biden, and Belair, have filled out paperwork to lobby for the expansion of legalized online gambling. They are lobbying for the House on behalf of a law firm that represents one of the largest online gambling influences in the world, Russ Deleon.
Deleon runs PartyGaming, a company that is one of the biggest online operators in the world. They, along with other online companies are glad that Biden will be fighting for their cause.
Internet gambling is a big industry in the United States. Even with the ill-advised inclusion of the UIGEA to another non-related Bill, people in America are still spending millions of dollars gambling online.
These voters are looking for a candidate that represent their needs. With Biden being the vice presidential candidate and his son going to work lobbying for expanded gambling laws, it could provide Barack Obama the necessary votes to put him over the top in the November election.
