Bingo.com Preparing To Expand Outside The United Kingdom

The way that the fads work around the world, is once they catch on they take on a life of their own. One of those new fads could be online bingo gambling.

Bingo is becoming increasingly popular within the online gambling community. Bingo sites are starting to pop up all over the place, and the response from gamblers has been strong.

Bingo.com, Ltd. has began preparations to expand outside of the United Kingdom. They have closed a private placement of 2 million common shares at $.30 per share. They are trying to raise money to begin their expansion operations.

"Proceeds from the offering will be used to fund our expansion beyond the United Kingdom market. In the near future we will be launching a Spanish version of our website and allowing players to deposit in various different major currencies," said Bingo.com CEO, Tarrnie Williams.

The move to expand comes at a good time for Bingo.com. The online bingo playing community is growing. More and more bingo halls are closing down due to smoking laws that make it impossible for them to survive.

The online alternative has been a good one for gamblers. Much like online poker, the online bingo sites give gamblers a way to enjoy their favorite game without leaving the comfort of their own homes.
