CMA Music Festival Pulls Online Gamblers From Their Computers

USA Players Accepted at Rome Casino!

Back in June, Nashville was in need of a pick me up, and much like the New Orleans Saints did for the city of New Orleans, country musicians came through for Nashville. Hundreds of thousands poured into the city for the CMA Music Festival.

On Wednesday, those fans who were unable to attend the four day event were treated to scenes from the festival by ABC. The network aired several hours of edited footage of the concerts that were performed. Among the stars that showed up on the telecast were Lady Antebellum, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, and Reba McEntire.

There is not much that can pull an online gambler away from their online poker games, but there also is not much that can keep country fans from their favorite musicians. That is why when faced with the choice on Wednesday, some gamblers took a break from the computers.

"I have been waiting for several weeks to see this concert," said Derek Weeden. "I was in the middle of a tournament online, and I just let myself be blinded out because I didn't want to miss one minute of the show."

Other players found a way to continue to play and watch the telecast. Mike Herman just sent his wife and children out to dinner, and set his television next to the computer to ABC. From there, he enjoyed three hours of concert footage and poker playing.

The four day event was not only a cluster of concerts from today's top artists. The festival also included softball, various booths, and meet and greet opportunities with stars who normally are not openly accessible to the general public. In all, it was a successful weekend for the performers, festival organizers, and fans alike.
