College in Idaho To Offer Online Casino Classes For Card Dealers
Poker has been growing so steadily as a phenomenon that a college in Idaho has decided that offering a class on the basics of working in a casino is important enough to be taught.
The College of Idaho' s Community Education Center will be holding a class for students who are interested in learning how to deal casino games such as poker, baccarat, and blackjack.
The class will be taught online and will use instructional videos and software that are interactive. The class will teach the basics of dealing such as shuffling and betting, and also the proper way to conduct yourself as a dealer.
The reason for the class is so that people in Idaho will have the opportunity to change their careers if they wish, and with Las Vegas relatively close, the demand for dealers is always existing.
The curriculum designer is Gatlin Education Services, and they will help place dealers in casino jobs once they have completed the course.
The cost for the class is a bit steep for college students at $1,400, but it is relatively similar to outside classes where you can get a dealers certificate. The amount also pales in comparison to the potential earnings of a dealer in gambling crazed casinos.
