Cyberpsychology Degree Offered In UK To Study Online Gambling

How do you know when online gambling has become a major player on the Internet? When a university decides that there should be a degree for studying the industry.

That is what has happened at Nottingham Trent University in the UK. They will be offering a degree in cyberpsychology. The program will be set up so that students will be able to explore the world of online gaming and gambling.

The program will be offered to postgraduates starting in October. In addition to the gambling aspect of the class, the degree will also explore cyber crime, artificial intelligence, social networking, and health and education issues.

"As well as being academically challenging, with the possibility of students going on to do a PhD, the course has been designed with the needs of industry firmly in mind," said the woman running the course, Dr. Monica Whitty.

Just the idea that colleges are now looking to offer classes in online gambling shows how far the industry has come and where universities feel the industry is going. There is no denying the significance of a class such as this.

Students taking the course will be searching to find the psychological reasons behind how Internet users operate while in cyberspace. The education could be well used by companies in the future.
