Google Cover Up Launches Online Gambling Debates
Internet censorship is once again a hot topic in the US and it has been gaining steam over the past couple of days. Alex Jones had his The Obama Deception video hacked and eliminated from YouTube, and Jones said on Monday he believes it was an inside job.
On Tuesday, the term "google spies" had jumped to the top of the Google Trends page, and had reached volcanic status. According to some sites, the term was eliminated by Google within hours, and no results were found within Google news for the term.
Speculation has been rising in recent months that Google has been operating in conjunction with the US government. The speculation has not been proven, but interest among US citizens has grown in the story. Internet censorship has been a concern of some lawmakers for quite some time.
Representative Barney Frank has proposed legislation that would overturn an online gambling law that was created in 2006. The law places the burden of stopping gambling on financial institutions, and Frank believes it is the base of the law that is the problem.
Rep. Frank has been on record as saying that the Internet should be free from government censorship. Frank also believes that people in the US should be free to spend their entertainment money however they wish, including at Internet gambling sites.
The Washington Post has done an extensive study that spanned two years on the connection between the US government and Google. The focus was on intelligence and how the government and Google are teaming to censor the Internet and take freedoms away from millions of Americans.
