Internet Gambling to be Defended by Barney Frank

Barney Frank an Internet Gambling Hero? Barney Frank today said in an interview that he is pursuing the repeal of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, but that he has no intention of moving swiftly on the matter. Although the entire online gambling industry is in dire desperation mode and quite anxious to see the law overturned, Frank is in no hurry and plans to consult with many others before moving forward with the repeal.

When asked about the specifics of the repeal Frank said on Thursday, "I'm not ready to give you more details, but I will be by next week or so. We'll talk more about it later. There's no urgency on it."

In 2004 and again in 2006, a survey of Capitol Hill staffers published in Washingtonian magazine gave Frank the title of the 'brainiest' member of the House of Representatives. In that same survey for both years he was voted the most 'eloquent' speaker, and 'funniest' member of the house.

Barney Frank is one of the only politicians in the United States who voted against the war in Iraq. He is the author of 'The States' Rights to Medical Marijuana Act' which encourages the use of medicinal marijuana. He is a strong supporter of anti- Republican gay hypocrisy saying once, "people who want to demonize other people shouldn't then be able to go home and close the door, and do it themselves."

The Internet gambling world is looking for a hero who can save the industry and they could not find one of them on their own. Luckily, Barney Frank has stood up as a politician who exists in Washington, not to look out for Internet gambling, but to look out for the basic rights of Americans, and for him Internet gamblers, and the country, should should be thankful.
