Ladbrokes Runs First UK Online Gambling Commercial on TV
The UK has worked hard recently to balance the line between online gambling and their citizens' rights to freedom, and the latest television ad by Ladbrokes is a testament to that freedom.
The US, on the other hand, has essentially taken away freedoms of companies and individuals when having anything to do with online gambling, and while they fall behind with their practices, the UK has found fair regulations in regards to the issue.
The UK has not completely given the industry freedom in their ads, but they have given them the ability to advertise, something the US prohibits.
Regulations of these television ads include some basic common sense, like not being able to exploit women by placing sexy women with little clothing in ads in order to make it seem like gambling will get you a woman.
One of the other regulations is that the online sites cannot advertise any kinds of bonuses or make references to the idea that a player can win big money by playing at their site.
Other companies, such as William Hill will soon follow the lead of Ladbrokes, and as each company enters their television ad campaigns, more and more examples of how proper regulations are the true answer to the online gambling issue will arise.
With every country that furthers their advancement into the world of online gambling, the United States looks more and more like a fascist regime who have only the best interest of politicians powered by the religious right in mind, not the majority of citizens they represent.
