Lambert Now The Clear Favorite In American Idol Betting Odds

The American Idol competition is down to the final three contestants and the battle figures to be hot and heavy over the final three weeks. Sportsbooks, however, have made Adam Lambert the clear cut favorite to become the winner.

Lambert is joined by two other male contestants. It is the first time in the history of the show that the final three are all males. Allison Iraheta was eliminated last week to the surprise of some Idol fans.

Lambert has been the favorite since the early stages of the competition. he did not come into the live shows as the favorite, but has steadily became the obvious fan favorite. His current odds range from -290, all the way up to -500 in some sportsbooks.

Danny Gokey was this season's first betting favorite. Gokey started the competition strong, but has seemed to lose some of his appeal in the past few weeks. There is now concerns among his fans that he could be in trouble this week. Gokey has odds of +300.

The other contestant could be the dark horse in the final three. Many believed Kris Allen would be sent home last week after a couple of sub-par performances in rock week, but he was the first one saved on elimination night. That has led people to believe his fan base might be bigger than anticipated. Allen is still a betting long shot at +1000.

This has been a busy week for the Idol's that remain. They went back to their hometowns and were greeted by legions of fans. They will perform two songs tonight, one that they picked, and one that the judges picked for them.
