Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot Increases Again After No Winners
Mega Millions. For anyone who is lucky enough to live in a state that is involved with the lottery game, it is time to go out and try your luck with some tickets.
On Friday, many people again tried to break the jackpot. Nobody was successful, and that will make for a crazy couple days at retailers that sell the game tickets.
The projected jackpot has now risen to $220 million. That is after ticket sales from a Friday night drawing that had no winners. There were, however, some happy winners of the lower prizes after the draw.
As was the case after last Tuesday's draw, people will claim second prize money. Thirteen people, in fact, matched all five numbers but then came up short of matching the Mega number. All those tickets will pay $250,000. the winners came from Maryland, New York, New Jersey, California, Virginia and Michigan.
Back on August 31st of last year, the jackpot rose to $330 million before it was hit. The odds are not good to be the one with the lucky ticket, but then again, odds of hitting the lottery are never in the players favor. 1 in 175,711,536 are the odds of hitting the Mega Millions. That number is according to their web site.
The winning numbers from the Friday draw were 7,11,26,30, and 53. The mega number was 14.
