New Legal Online Gambling Site Surfaces In United States
An Internet buff in College Station, Texas has come up with a plan of allowing people to gamble online legally. The site is called Centsports.com, and the man behind the site is Victor Palmer.
Palmer has devised a plan that allows him to operate his online gambling site with no fear of intervention from the government. He is letting people gamble with his money, and if they win, they get to keep the money.
The idea behind the site is Palmer puts ten cents in your account upon completing the sign up process. Gamblers can then use that money to gamble on anything that sports books put a gambling line on.
Once the gambler gets their winnings up to $20, they can cash out. The site will then send them their winnings through a check in the mail. Palmer is proud of the site that has seen 200,000 visitors sign up, and is doubling its customers nearly every month.
"Congress assumes if you're dumb enough to give away money, then go for it," Palmer said. The only thing is, Palmer is not dumb, he could be classified a genius. He graduated college at 16 after beginning at age 11. He also has a Ph.D. in computer science from Texas A & M University. He is only twenty six years old.
The way the site makes money is through their advertisers. The NBA, which is in the midst of a referee gambling scandal, is one of those advertisers. Pizza Hut and Skype are also already sponsors. That list is sure to grow as the website grows.
The website is complete with a referral program. For any friends that sign up, a user will receive 5% of the friends winnings.
