Online Casino Asks for Donations to Aid Dying Child

Slotland.com is calling on their players ? and parents and grandparents everywhere ? to come to the support of one of their a long-time players.

A heartbroken grandmother, known as 'Judybug41' to her friends at Slotland.com, needs help with her grandson's imminent funeral and to make a donation to the hospital that's helping him fight for his life.

Jonathan Rounsville was born with Porencephaly, a rare condition in which fluid-filled hollows or cavities develop on the surface of the brain, which is complicated by critical digestive and respiratory problems.

"The doctors have told us to be prepared for a catastrophic event..." said the worried grandmother. "This poor little fellow has so many things wrong... It's heartbreaking..."

"Right now we need to raise money for a nice funeral. But we also want to make a donation to the newborn intensive care unit at the hospital. And we want to give flowers and thank-you baskets to all the wonderful nurses that are helping my son and his wife through this."

Friends and family organized a fundraiser at a local tavern recently but, unfortunately, the turnout was low and only a small amount was raised towards the goal.

"I don't know if it was the rain or if people are just uncomfortable thinking about this," reflected the event organizer.

Slotland.com has made a generous contribution to help this family through their darkest hour and is encouraging their members to help if they can.

"When Judy wrote to me for help I was so deeply moved, as any parent or grandparent would be," said Hannah Morante of Slotland.com. "In times like these, it's natural to turn to friends and family for support. Judy's been playing at Slotland.com for many years and thinks of us as part of her community. Now we're calling on that community to get involved if they can."
