Online Casino Software Provider Cryptologic Inc. Gets New CEO
Cryptologic Inc. (CRY), a Canadian company that is working on a re-location to Ireland, has announced today that Javaid Aziz will be the new president and CEO of the company.
Aziz was a strong candidate for the jobs because of his extensive international experience. He worked in the information techonology industry for 30 years and previously served as CEO of IBM in the UK. Aziz is also the founder of a leading wireless application service provider.
Robert Sikeman, chairman of Cryptologic Inc., said, "In Javaid Aziz, CryptoLogic has chosen an experienced leader in both the management of an innovative technology company and a global business based in Europe."
Cryptologic announced a move to Ireland in late 2006 in order to be closer to the majority of their clients who are mainly based of the United Kingdom. The choice to move was made because Cryptologic was looking for a more hospitable environment for their Internet gambling business.
"As the pioneer and leader of the global e-gaming software industry, CryptoLogic is one of the world's great technology success stories," Javaid Aziz said.
"I'm excited to lead the CryptoLogic team as we set a course for continued growth and expansion in the U.K., Europe and Asia."
Aziz will be replacing Lewis Rose, an innovator in the industry. Rose led Cryptologics expansion from the beginning. He pushed for a poker based software platform that was dependable and international and he succeeded in his ventures.
"Lewis Rose has laid an excellent foundation'" Sikeman said, "and we're confident Javaid will build on this success."
