Online Casinos Becoming Increasingly Popular In Korea
Online casino gambling is the future. Whether governments around the world take their time in coming around to the idea or not, the reality is that online gambling is prevalent everywhere in the world.
A report out of Korea indicates that Koreans are spending time in online casinos gambling in record numbers. The increase in online gambling in the country has been steady and is still rising.
The problem that is arising in Korea is people are playing on illegal websites. They are playing with cyber-money and their winnings are being paid in the black market by illegal dealers.
Online gambling sites in Korea are a huge draw. One website boasts of the fact that they receive 3 million visitors a day. That is just one of the many websites that are operating.
The Korean government is in a slightly different predicament than the U.S. government when dealing with online gambling. In Korea, it is illegal to gamble online. In the U.S., it is not illegal.
The Korean government claims it is difficult to police the online gambling activity. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced last month that they will increase efforts to go after the cyber-money dealers and begin to slow the online gambling.
