Tiger woods has been through a rough stretch over the past couple of months when it comes to his endorsement deals. Some of his biggest deals have been terminated, leaving Woods to ponder agreements with other companies.
One company that has been shot down in their first attempt is PaddyPower.com. The gambling company reportedly offered Woods $75 million over five years to push their product, but Woods has said no to the offer.
Woods is attempting to rebuild his personal and professional life after being outed for having many mistresses. His wife, Elin Nordgren, has not completely turned her back on Woods, and he is attempting to win back her trust. Woods has spent time in a sexual addiction rehabilitation clinic recently.
A couple of weeks ago Woods held a press conference in which no questions were asked by reporters. Instead, Woods invited only those he was comfortable with, and read from a prepared statement. Among the topics covered was his wish for forgiveness from his family, and a warning to reporters to leave his children alone.
PaddyPower is one of the companies that has taken advantage of the online gambling boom across the world. The company is not finished pursuing Woods, either. PaddyPower claims they will make another offer to Woods that is more lucrative than the first.
Earlier this week, Woods' caddy, Steve Williams, went on television and claimed he knew nothing of any of Woods' affairs. Williams also said he would have blown Woods' cover had he known, but many in the media believe that his comments were in line with what Woods wanted Williams to say.
