Am qualifying deadline today; Annandale set for Bermuda greens
One final chance to qualify for the Mississippi State Amateur remains on Tuesday at Dancing Rabbit in Choctaw. The top four players at Tuesday's qualifier will make the 156-player field. The tournament is scheduled for June 1-4 at Dancing Rabbit. "We're getting more applications every day," said Margo Coleman, executive director of the Mississippi Golf Association. "There's been an extremely good turnout this year. It's great to see everybody's excited about playing at Dancing Rabbit. "Coleman said about 40 golfers are exempt from qualifying based on past performance, but others have made the field in qualifiers over the past month. On June 4, the course will undergo a major renovation that will keep golfers away until early September.
