British and Irish Poker Players to Compete in Charity Tournament
The International Charity Heads Up Council (ICHUC) recently came up with a special heads-up poker challenge for the summer. According to the ICHUC officials, the organization intends to form two competing teams with members coming from Ireland and Great Britain, two long-time rivals.
Three slots in each team have already been set aside for online qualifiers. Other team members will be chosen by the groups' captains ? James Dempsey for the British side, and Mike Lacey for the Irish one.
The planned tournament will take place on July 8th in Dublin's Fitzwilliam Card Club. Tournament participants will have to prove their skills in a number of poker variants, from One Pot-Limit Seven Card Stud to No-Limit Texas Hold' em.
