Chad Brown In Contention For Bracelet At World Series Of Poker
There are only fourteen players left in Event 53, a Seven Card Stud Hi-Low-8 or Better tournament. One of those players is well known poker pro Chad Brown, who is in second chip position and looking for a WSOP bracelet.
Brown has been close several times this year, but has yet to break through and win an event. Of the final fourteen players only Brian Swinford has more chips than Brown, with 292,000. Brown is right on his heels with 284,000.
Another event is also reaching its conclusion. The Triple Chance No-Limit Hold'em Event 52 has only thirteen players left. Jason Dewitt has the chip lead, almost doubling his nearest competitor with 1,810,000 chips. Jorg Peisert is the player chasing him down with 980,000 chips.
Jon Carsten won $664,426 for his first place finish in Event 51, a $1,500 buy-in, No-Limit Hold'em tournament. he defeated Andrew Chen in heads up action to claim the bracelet. Chen won $412,632 for his second place finish. David Walasinski was third.
Only two more events remain between players and the Main Event, which starts on Friday. A No-Limit Hold'em/Six Handed tournament began today, and the Ante Up For Africa Charity event will be held on Thursday.
