Chris Moneymaker And Joe Hachem Advance At Main Event Of WSOP
The World Series of Poker has seen its share of up and downs at this year's Main Event. Sunday will be the last day of the day ones and two former champions have made it through to day two.
Chris Moneymaker and Joe Hachem are both former champions of this Main Event tournament. Hachem had the toughest road through to day two after facing elimination in a hand that his opponent had a set.
He survived the hand, however, and moved into day two with just under the average stack chips in the event. Moneymaker, on the other hand, Moneymaker took advantage of what he saw3 as a soft table.
"I got chips pretty early and didn't do anything stupid to give them back. I had a pretty easy table. everybody pretty much stayed out of my way and let me do what I wanted to do," he said afterwards.
Huck Seed did not fare as well as the other two former champions on day one. He also is a former winner of the Main Event, but was eliminated from this year's event after just seventeen minutes.
Mike Matusow exacted revenge from last year when he was eliminated on the first day of the tournament. He survived ESPN's feature table on Saturday and will be moving on to day two.
