CryptoLogic Gaming and Playboy Join Forces on Poker Venture
World famous Playboy Enterprises and CryptoLogic Gaming announced their new partnership today in which Playboy will use poker software designed by CryptoLogic to run their Internet poker web site.
The move builds on a relationship between the 2 companies that began when they announced in May that CryptoLogic would launch a Playboy-branded Internet casino, providing electronic cash management, marketing support and customer support.
Under the 3-year licensing contract between CryptoLogic subsidiary WagerLogic Ltd. and Oceania Caribe Licensing NV, CryptoLogic will be the sole software product used for the Playboy Internet poker site.
The poker site will offer promotions for players, Playboy merchandise, invitations to Playboy-hosted events and trips to the adult magazine publisher's Playboy Mansion.
Playboy plans to market its Internet gaming sites around the world, excluding the U.S. where legislative hurdles prevent online gambling casinos.
