Davidi Kitai Wins Pot-Limit Hold'em Tournament At WSOP

Sunday was not the usual hectic day at the World Series of Poker. It was unusually slow, but there were cards being played, which was a good thing for Davidi Kitai.

Kitai won Event # 38, a Pot-Limit Hold'em tournament with a $2,000 buy in. Kitai defeated Chris Bell to win $244,583 in first place money. Bell walked from the table with $155,805.

Lee Watkinson finished the tournament in fifth place, winning $63,313. There were 605 entries into the tournament, creating a prize pool of $1,101,100.

In other action ongoing today from the Rio in Las Vegas Event #39 has reached the final table. Only nine players remain, with Thom Werthmann holding the chip lead with 1,600,000 chips. Thanhdat Tran is in the second position with 1,225,000. Mike Glasser is the short stack at the table with 495,000.

Some big name pros are still alive in the 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) tournament. Robert Mizrachi and Ray Henson are still playing. Greg Raymer, a former main event champion is also one of the final thirty players in this tournament.

Only one tournament is slated to begin on Monday and it is a senior event. Event #42 is a Seniors No-Limit Hold'em World Championship tournament with a $1,000 buy in.
