Erick Lindgren is Player Of The Year At World Series Of Poker
Erick Lindgren has always claimed that Chip Reese was his hero. He looked up to Reese, as did many of the professional card players that are playing today. Lindgren came to the World Series of Poker hoping to make the late Reese proud.
He also came to this years WSOP as one of the best poker players to never win a bracelet. Not only did he capture the elusive bracelet, but with five cashes, he also became the Milwaukee's Best Light Player of The Year.
"Everybody was here playing tournaments, so I would say Player of The Year this year, meant more than it has in the past. For sure I'm very proud of it," said Lindgren. He was referring to the large amounts of pros that played in many of the events at this year's WSOP.
Lindgren, although already the Player of The Year, is not finished with his run through the WSOP. He is holding his own in the Main Event with 92,325. Should he find a way to win, or even make the final table, at the Main Event, it will go down as one of the greatest WSOP showings ever.
As for the Main Event, today started day 1C. The first two days were filled with action and many notable players made it through to day two. After today there will only be one more day 1, which will be on Sunday.
