Final Table Set At World Series of Poker Main Event
Yesterday we had a woman in the top three positions in terms of chips entering the day and it looked as though we might see our first ever woman winner at the World Series of Poker Main Event.
Things did not go as planned for Tiffany Michelle, but for nine others, the day went beautifully, and we now have our final table set for the main event. The remaining players will now have to wait until November to try and win the most coveted bracelet in the world.
Dennis Phillips is the leader in the clubhouse and will have a couple of months to ponder how he wants to play with that chip lead. He currently holds 26,295,000 chips, but is trailed closely by Ivan Demidov, who has 24,400,000.
The top pair is followed by Scott Montgomery and Peter Eastgate. The pair has 19,690,000 and 18,375,000 respectively. Four players are bunched together around the ten million chip mark. They are Ylon Schwartz, Darus Suharto, David Rheem, and Craig Marquis.
Kelly Kim will have his work cut out for him if he plans on winning the Main Event. He has a couple of months to try and figure out how to come back from being the low stack at the final table. He currently holds 2,620,000 chips.
Play will now be suspended until November 9th. That is when the players will reconvene and begin playing until there is a champion of this year's Main Event.
