The tournament started out with over 6,000 players, but now all that is left is the final nine. Event 4 at the World Series of Poker this year is a $1,000 buy-in, No-Limit Hold'em tournament, and it has been the center of attention in Las Vegas this week.

Dan Heimiller is the chip leader going into the final table. He has 4,155,000 chips. Steve Sung is in the second position with 3,395,000 chips. From there the chip stacks drop under two million. The low stack at the table is Danny Fuhs with 965,000.

The player that survives and wins the tournament will be well on their way to breaking the $1 million mark at this year's WSOP. The top spot will pay $771,106. Second place will make just under a half million dollars, at $473,283.

A Pot-Limit Omaha event has also turned the corner and is headed for home. Kevin Iacofano is the chip leader at the final table, with 770,000 chips. Jonathan Tare is second with 665,000 and Chris Biondino is the short stack with 182,000.

The World Championship Seven Card Stud event has already begun play at the final table. Freddie Ellis is holding down the top spot with 1,000,000 chips. Well-known pros Daniel Negreanu and Jeff Lisandro were both recently eliminated, Negreanu is tenth place and Lisandro in ninth.
