Final Two Set At World Series Of Poker Main Event Final Table
This World Series of Poker Main Event final table was the longest in the history of the event, and there were peaks and valleys for almost every player involved. In the end, there finally were only two men left standing.
Darvin Moon and Joseph Cada, who is over two times younger than Moon, are the two players that will play heads-up on Monday night for the WSOP Main Event bracelet. The winner will also walk away with over $8 million.
Cada is one of the most unbelievable stories in the history of the Main Event. He came from a point when he was down to his last two million chips, and he now goes into the heads-up match with the chip lead. He will start with 135,950,000. Moon will begin with 58,850,000.
The sentimental favorite for the final table was poker pro Phil Ivey. he had legions of fans pulling for him to win his first main event bracelet. Although he finished in seventh place, he still has his other seven WSOP bracelets to look at when he gets back home.
Moon came into the final table as the chip leader. He had some rough spots in the final table, and at one point became the low stack at the table. He recovered nicely, however, and now plays Cada to become a living legend and a WSOP champion.
The final table will begin at 10PM on Monday. The players will play until one of them has all of the chips, at which time they will become the champion. ESPN will air the final table on Tuesday night.
