Las Vegas needs a pick me up. The city has seen their casino industry fall into oblivion thanks to the recent economic woes of the country. They will get a little shot in the arm coming up at the end of December.

The next installment of High Stakes Poker, the popular television series, will be taped at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. It will be filmed from December 19th to the 21st.

In past years, some of the top poker players in the world have taken part in the show. Daniel Negreanu, Jamie Gold, and Phil Ivey have all participated in the past.

"High Stakes Poker, by a wide margin, has become a must see on GSN for poker players and poker fans all over the world. We are happy to bring back the top amateurs and professionals risking hundreds of thousands of their money in the new season," said Henry Orenstein, one of the executive producers of High Stakes Poker.

This season, participants will have to put up $200,000 of their own money. The GSN released a statement claiming that this is the "largest buy in for an entire run of a television series."

The Golden Nugget is happy to be the location for the new season, which will air on Sunday nights.
