High Stakes Poker Represents Its Name With $500,000 Buy In Cash Game

Starting a couple Mondays from now, some of the top professional poker players along with one extremely successful businessman will sit down at a table where the buy in is $500,000, and will compete for over $5 million.

High Stakes Poker 4 will air over seven episodes and the action is surely to be more intense than in previous years, and that was the intention as the buy in was raised from $100,000 to $500,000.

Anywhere you can find stakes that high, chances are you will find legend Doyle Brunson, and that is again the case here as he is scheduled to compete in the game.

Also competing will be Daniel Negreanu and Jamie Gold, both of whom have done their share of winning at the poker table, Negreanu is considered one of the best players in the World, while Gold won the 2006 World Series of Poker main event.

David Benyamine and Barry Greenstein will be taking part in the game as well, and "The Magician", Antonio Esfandiari will also be there.

A surprise entry into the tournament will be Cirque De Soleil CEO and co-founder Guy Laliberte, he is new to the competition and will be donating some of his winnings to charity.

Patrik Antonius is coming over from Finland, where he is one of the top cash game players, his buy in for this event was a staggering $1,000,000.

The show will air at 9:00 on Monday nights on GSN starting on November 5th. This will be the biggest cash game ever shown on television.
