Jimmy Shultz Wins Limit Hold'em Event At WSOP

Another day, another new champion at the World Series of Poker. This time it was Jimmy Shultz that walked away from a final table as a champion. He won a $1,500 buy in, Limit Hold'em tournament. It was event number twelve.

Erick Lindgren made a strong run through this tournament but his hopes of winning were dashed after finishing tenth. Shultz walks away with $257,049 for his win. Zachary Fellows finished second, taking home $165,165.

Another tournament that has been completed was a No-Limit Hold'em Shootout with a $5,000 buy in. Phillip Tom emerged victorious from a field of 360 players. John Juanda made it down to the final table, but wound up in the seven spot. Tom won $477,990 for his first place win.

Four tournaments are currently in progress. Event 13 is in the final stages with nine players left at the final table. Duncan Bell is the chip leader with 1,966,000 chips. Shawn Buchanan is in the second spot with 1,133,000 chips.

The World Championship Seven Card Stud Event is also at the final table stage. David Oppenheim has the chip lead with 508,000 chips. Erik Seidel, a well known professional player is still in the hunt for the bracelet. He is currently sitting in seventh with 273,000 chips.

The Ladies No-Limit Hold'em World Championship Event began on Sunday and currently there are sixty one players left. Shavonne Mitchell has the chip lead with 94,000 chips.
