The professional poker players do not take kindly to people saying that any amateur can beat a pro player. They appear to be trying to prove that statement false at this year's World Series of Poker.

So far this year, the pros have dominated the amateurs through the first half of the World Series. They took home another bracelet when John Phan emerged victorious in Event #29, a No-Limit Hold'em event with a $3,000 buy in.

Phan won $434,789 for his win in the tournament. John Neckar finished the tournament in second place winning $277,452. David Singer came up short in his attempt to become the first player to win multiple bracelets this year. He finished in fifth place and won $112,641.

Andrew Bloch and J.C. Tran were trying to make it another win for the pros, but Rob Hollink came away a winner in the World Championship Limit Hold'em tournament with a $10,000 buy in. Hollink took home $496,931 for finishing in the top spot. Jerrod Ankenman finished in second place but was still rewarded well, winning $307,380.

Event #31 has reached the final table and is getting close to finding a champion. Dario Minieri is the chip leader with 1,721,000 chips. Stuart Marshak is the low stack heading to the final table with 183,000 chips.

Many players remain for both Event #32 and 33. A new Seven Card Stud tournament and a Pot-Limit Hold'em with rebuys tournament are both starting up on Wednesday.
