Lederer Moving In On World Series of Poker Europe Bracelet
Many of the top pros in the game of poker have descended on the World Series of Poker Europe this week. They did not take long in making their presence felt, many of them were on the leader board at the second event of the Series.
A H.O.R.S.E. Event is the second event at this year's WSOPE. Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Jeffrey Lissandro, and Howard Lederer all made it to the late stages of the tournament that had 110 people enter.
Ivey, Hellmuth, and Lissandro have all been eliminated leaving only Lederer looking for a bracelet in the event. He is currently the chip leader with 380,000 chips. Lissandro led in chips for a while in the tournament before being knocked out.
Lederer leads the five players left in the tournament. Ivo Donev is second in chips with 262,000. Sherkhan Farnwood is third with 255,500. Jeff Duval is next, holding 180,000 and Mark Gregorich is trying to hold on to his tournament life with 32,000.
At the middle stages of the tournament it appeared as though Hellmuth, Lissandro, Ivey, and Lederer were headed towards a four headed monster of a final table. Hellmuth fell quickly, however, and Ivey and Lissandro were soon to follow. That leaves Lederer as the top name left in the event.
